FUN FACT: Blaine has a thing or challenges/dares. And by that I mean he literally can't turn one down no matter how stupid. It's a pride thing.
FUN FACT 2: Since Blaine lives in the extremities, which I headcanon as being kind of wilderness-y areas, he's become somewhat of a legend/myth/fairy tale/campfire story.
As in, kids will tell each other about a monster who lives in the forest and eats unaware campers unless they can challenge the beast to something and win.
The thing is, it isn't often that Blaine loses.
It happens, but it tends to piss him off a lot... but, he also holds true to his word. If he promises someone he'll let them go if he wins, he'll do it. Even if that means living off the equivalent of berries for a while.

So if somebody were to go "I dare you to jump over that ravine!", he'd do it, even if the ravine was too wide for that to work?
